PAUL PASCUZZI

GENERAL MANAGER

Paul has been with OHO since 2018, starting first as the Business and Operations Manager before becoming the General Manager in 2019. Prior to his time at OHO, Paul spent the several years working with individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in various roles, including ABA services, IBI services and providing social skills training to those in need.

Pascuzzi had been a head coach at the minor hockey level since 2010, most recently with the Clarington Midget AAA team from 2016-2018 after spending six seasons as a head coach within the Whitby Minor Hockey Association. In Clarington, Pascuzzi was also the head of coach and player development for the 2017-2018 season.

PAT LENEHAN

ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER, ASSISTANT COACH, U18 PREP

Pat comes to OHO entering his 20th season of coaching hockey in the Durham Region. With experience at various age groups and levels, Lenehan most recently enjoyed a successful run with the Clarington U18 AAA program, winning an OMHA Silver medal and an OHF Bronze medal in his three seasons as Assistant Coach with the club.

Pat’s coaching style places emphasis on both player and personal development, whether on or off the ice. More specifically, Lenehan has helped advance many defensemen into Major Junior and Junior A opportunities.

COREY BEER

HEAD COACH, U18 PREP

Beer returns to OHO for his second full season as the Head Coach of the U18 program. Previously he spent 4 years as Head Coach of the Timmins Rock in the NOJHL. Beer spent six years as the Assistant Coach in the OJHL, with the Whitby Fury and then Cobourg Cougars, winning the RBC Cup with Cobourg in 2017. Under his style of game, Beer has progressed numerous players onto the NCAA, USports, and to Major Junior. Beer has also made strides on the international stage as part of the World Junior A Challenge. First named a guest coach in 2017 for Team Canada East, he has been an Assistant Coach for the team since 2018 winning a silver medal in 2019.

Michael farrugia

HEAD COACH, U15 PREP

Farrugia joins OHO in 2023 as the U15 Prep Head Coach. A graduate of the Humber/Guelph Business Program at the University of Guelph, Michael has been directly involved in hockey for over 25 years. Between 2020 and 2023, Farrugia has held the role of Head Coach with the Peterborough Petes AAA program for the Minor Bantam, U15, and U16 age groups – including the U16 AAA Peterborough Petes, ranked 3rd in Canada. Michael prides himself on taking responsibility to ensure the team is aware of the expectations and goals so they can work together and believes that communication produces a cohesive team environment. Michael’s knowledge of the game’s strategy and ability to communicate with players and motivate players has led to ongoing coaching success, including an OHF title, OJHL and Dudley Hewitt Championships, and numerous OMHA Championships.

OWEN MATTHEWS

ASSISTANT COACH, U18 PREP

Matthews expands his coaching resume here at OHO after playing seven seasons with the Central Ontario Wolves AAA, before finishing his playing career as a member of the Port Perry Mojacks of the CJPHL. Owen spent time as an Assistant Coach with the North Durham Warriors, as well as a Head Coach for the Varsity Boys Hockey Team at Port Perry High School.

Currently, Matthews is also working as a Volunteer Firefighter in the Township of Scugog, after graduating from Durham College in November of 2020.

MIKE DUCO

SKILLS DEVELOPMENT COACH

Duco is also the Skill Development Coach for the Pickering Panthers Jr. A team. Previously, Duco was an assistant coach for the Peterborough Petes of the OHL during the 2017-18 season after serving as a head coach with the ECHL’s Elmira Jackals the previous season. On top of his duties with the Petes, he also was involved with the Peterborough Minor Hockey Association as a skills development coach and player evaluator.

The Toronto, Ont. product enjoyed an extensive nine-year professional playing career that saw him play 18 games in the NHL with the Florida Panthers and Vancouver Canucks, 267 games in the AHL, as well as time spent in the ECHL and Europe. Duco played parts of five seasons in the OHL with the Kitchener Rangers, where he was part of the 2008 J. Ross Robertson Cup winning team as OHL champions.

Collins joins OHO as our Skills Academy and Camp Coordinator. Todd brings many years of coaching experience to OHO, from minor hockey through to the junior levels. Todd’s first introduction to OHO was as the Head Coach of the Okanagan Hockey Prospects Spring team.

MARK FITZGERALD

HUMAN PERFORMANCE CONSULTANT

Mark Fitzgerald has spent the last 15 years working with athletes from a variety of sports at every level. He began his career with the Toronto Maple Leafs organization and also became the Head of Performance and Nutrition for the Canadian Hockey League. Most recently, Fitzgerald was the Head of Performance for the Anaheim Ducks. Fitzgerald is the founder of Elite Training Systems in Ontario, which has grown to four locations servicing athletes from all major and minor sports. Fitzgerald also serves as a consultant for a number of health and performance organizations including Under Armour, CHL, Ontario Tech University, and Toronto Aeros Rugby.

MATTHEW BOURGEOIS

HEAD GOALTENDING COACH

Matthew has been a High Performance (HP1) Certified Coach and Goalie Development Presenter since July 2012. Having previously served as an Assistant/Goalie Coach with both Ontario Tech University Varsity Men’s Hockey and Canisius College NCAA Men’s Hockey, Matthew’s responsibilities included advanced scouting, player development, and strategic planning.

In 2017 Matthew worked with SECA Worldwide China, and was involved in program development, player representation, and talent acquisition underscoring his dedication to advancing the sport’s presence in the region. From 2015-2017. Matthew’s expertise excelled as he served as Goaltending Coach for the Chinese National Women’s Hockey Team. His role encompassed advanced scouting, designing personalized goalie development programs, and providing insightful game evaluations.
