FORMER NHL DEFENCEMAN, JOSH GORGES

Born and Raised in Kelowna, BC Josh grew up playing hockey in Kelowna where he ended up making the Kelowna Rockets as an undrafted bantam player. Josh had tremendous success as a junior player starting with winning the 2003 Ed Chynoweth Cup (WHL Championship). The following season he played for Team Canada at the world Junior Championships winning a silver medal. During the 2003/2004 season Josh was Captain of the Rockets when they won the 2004 Memorial Cup. As an undrafted junior player Josh attended camp with the San Jose Sharks where he earned an NHL Contract. During his time in the NHL he played 783 Regular Season games as well as 68 playoff games. Josh’s leadership has always been recognized through his career as he was an assistant captain for 5 NHL seasons. Josh continues to call Kelowna home and has spent the past couple of seasons working with the Kelowna Rockets (WHL) and the West Kelowna Warriors (BCHL).
