Okanagan Hockey Ontario expands with the third team in the U16 Prep division for 2024-2025.
Okanagan Hockey Ontario (OHO) is proud to announce they will offer three teams for the 2024-2025 hockey season. Currently offering U18 Prep, playing in the CSSHL Eastern League, and a U15 Prep team, OHO will add a U16 Prep team to their operations.
General Manager, Paul Pascuzzi is thrilled to continue their growth at Okanagan Hockey Ontario. “In partnership with the Durham District School Board, Town of Whitby and Elite Training Systems, we are excited to provide our student-athletes with a structure and routine that will support their individual goals and plans for long-term success. Officially adding our U16 Prep program will allow any student-athlete that joins our program in grade 9 to follow a development path that will take them from grade 9 potentially through grade 12.”
Okanagan Hockey Ontario is an expansion of OHA Penticton, which was established in 2002 as British Columbia’s first sport school to be recognized by BC Hockey and Hockey Canada. Okanagan Hockey currently has academy programs in Penticton, BC, Edmonton, Alberta, St. Polten, Europe and Denver, Colorado.
Okanagan Hockey Ontario’s primary focus is to promote the long-term development of each of its athletes in the classroom, on the ice, and in the community. Putting young, motivated people in a structured environment, surrounded by a world-class staff and support system, allows them to deliver a consistent message and value system that our academy feels is imperative to the long-term development of the students-athletes.
Elite athletes need to be challenged, yet supported, in all aspects of their lives. OHO holds our student-athletes accountable for their efforts, attention to detail, and above all their attitudes. Okanagan Hockey has learned through experience that those three ingredients are keys to future success.
Okanagan Hockey is built on experience, knowledge, and passion for our game, and above all, Okanagan Hockey is built on each individual’s mark left behind as they move on to achieve their goals. The commitment to excellence in all areas is what makes Okanagan Hockey Ontario a tremendous opportunity for any young and aspiring hockey player.
Join us this January at the Iroquois Sports Centre for our much anticipated open houses to learn more about our program. Each player will experience life as an OHO student-athlete with two on-ice development sessions, a strength and conditioning session, a facility tour, and a program presentation.
